Homebound: Martin Scorsese plays a special role in Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan K hatter’s Cannes 2025 film
Neeraj Ghaywan’s second film, Homebound, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa, will premiere at Cannes 2025. Famous Hollywood director Martin Scorsese has joined the team!
Martin Scorsese Joins
Karan Johar announced on Instagram on April 26, 2025, that Martin Scorsese will executive produce Homebound. Karan posted an Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa shot from the flick.
Mr. Scorsese explained his participation in the initiative in the announcement. He said,
“I adored Neeraj’s 2015 debut Masaan. Mélita Toscan de Plantier gave me Neeraj’s second film project, intriguing me. I wanted to contribute because I loved the narrative and culture. This superbly created picture by Neeraj enriches Indian cinema. I’m glad Cannes’ Un Certain Regard section chose it this year.”
