In October, Spirit will begin filming; Sandeep Reddy Vanga asks Prabhas to do his stunts.
After Animal’s popularity, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is directing Prabhas in Spirit, an action-thriller. The film twists a cop story, and Sandeep wants to reinvent the hero-villain genre.
It will open in October 2025, according to Pinkvilla’s exclusive intel.
Spirit is not a typical cop film, so, according to a source, creating the script took longer than intended.
Expect the unexpected from Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Story and script development took over six months. The team has also begun casting. Things are falling into place, and Prabhas will start filming in September or October 2025, “the source added.
Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Pranay Vanga are producing Spirit.
Raja Saab and Fauji will be completed before Prabhas begins Spirit. A source stated that Sandeep is requesting a leaner look for Prabhas to shoot Spirit in a specific way. He wants Prabhas to execute most of his stunts. The task excites Prabhas, who loves the writing. He’s willing to play his character and collaborate with Sandeep.”
The rest of the cast is being finalized. Sandeep is negotiating with US and Korean actors for the action film. Casting updates are likely in the coming months.
Spirit is targeting a 2027 theatrical release. After this film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga will write Animal Park, starring Ranbir Kapoor.
